Pradosh Paul

Pradosh Paul's career as a painter has been marked by a constant exploration of form, colour, and texture, with a particular emphasis on form and colour as more important constituent aspects of the visual field. As a result, there is a purposeful reluctance to accept what is uninteresting and just attractive in his canvases, and he hastens to emphasise that this is evident from the very beginning. His artwork is not a visual ode created in support of some idealised beauty, but rather a real account of the severely wrecked world that confronts us.
