Kanchan Mahante

I am Kanchan Mahante, a first generation self-trained artist. It has been 17 years I am in this profession. I have done almost 50 exhibitions till now. Coming back to my painting, My expertise is NIB Painting and I am known for Buddha’s Nib Painting. If I have to elaborate on how I differentiate my work from others then in simple words I use acrylic colors on canvas for Nib painting. This is way different from traditional Nib painting done by many on velvet cloth and with oil colors. After working on my this very unique style, I have invented my another painting style. I have recently completed a art in which I have tried showing a face of three females with a male by just showing changes on female’s head. I have tried showing journey of a female along with her devotion, sacrifices, love, affection, power, purity and innocence. A woman when marries to a man, she accepts everything new and make his world as her own world. That’s why a woman has been given a status of Tulsi. My whole intention is to take my this very unique expertise – Nib Painting to as many people as possible. I sincerely hope that, you will not only like but also appreciate my work.
